About

Living on a picturesque pond in Wareham, MA inspires me to be creative. In the summer of 2016, I started my own local business of taking outdated vintage furniture pieces and turning them into functional works of art. I researched "safe" paint products because others were too toxic to use in my home studio on a daily basis. The chalk acrylic paints and varnishes I use are 100% non-toxic, which makes them safe for you, your babies, your pets and our environment. Additionally, they do not contain waxes, which tend to break down over time. Each piece I design and hand paint is a signed original that will add art and beauty to your home. Please contact me if you are interested in having commission work done.

What kind of paints do you use?

I use Terra Bella Paint & Finishes, which are made in the USA. Their eco-friendly, non-toxic, hypoallergenic paints contain zero VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds)!

Yes! I do accept commission work, and welcome you to contact me for more information regarding rates, pickup and delivery options, etc.

Do you ship inside (or outside) the USA?

I ship anywhere within the USA via UPS or FedEx at a prearranged cost - please call me for details. I do not ship outside the USA. Free local pickup can be arranged, and local delivery is available at a nominal charge.

Do you have a shop?

I do not have my own shop, but I frequently post finished pieces on Mad Mockingbird's Facebook page and Instagram page. Here on my website, pieces that have been sold can be viewed here

How long does it take you to hand-paint something?

It can take a few hours to a few weeks, depending on the piece. We will first discuss your color choices, then I will show you a sketch of my vision for your piece. It's all in the details!

Do you go to people's homes to paint large pieces?

No, I do not go to anyone's home as I am not insured for that. All my work is done at my home studio.
